Child Rights Ambassadors
Child Rights Ambassadors is the international name for Red Barnet Ungdom (RBU).
Child Rights Ambassadors works internationally for children’s rights, as described in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child .
Child Rights Ambassadors is an organization for young people between the age of 15 and 30, who want to make an effort to improve their own and others lives.
Vision:
Child Rights Ambassadors wants a child friendly world, where the rights of children and youth are taken seriously.
Mission:
Child Rights Ambassadors is fighting for the rights of children and youth on the basis of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and works with relevant public issues that are affecting children and youth.
Child Rights Ambassadors’ activities are based on the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which is ratified by all UN member states – except for The United States and Somalia.
The organization works to ensure that:
- all children’s rights are acknowledged and respected, as described in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child
- all children are heard and can influence the decisions made that affect their lives
- all children are aware of their rights, as described in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child
Child Rights Ambassadors works to assure that the rights of all children are enforced in accordance with the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child, both in and outside of Denmark. We bring the rights and the reasons that they are violated into focus.
Child Rights Ambassadors works to give children and youth the right to be heard and be taken seriously. Children and youth are the ones who know how it is like to grow up in today’s world, and should therefore have the opportunity to affect the development on their own terms.
Child Rights Ambassadors wish to call attention to the role and responsibility of the individual to enforce children’s rights. We wish to put pressure on public authorities, the media and others to prevent violations of children’s rights.
Child Rights Ambassadors is initiated by youth, run by youth and for youth. We believe all young people should have the opportunity to use their knowledge and experience in project related work. We believe we can inspire and learn from each other through our commitment on youth participation.

We believe that we must not allow ourselves to be limited by the seemingly unsolvable problems and difficult circumstances. Through innovative ideas and alternative approaches, we create lasting results for children and adolescents.
